Heritage Navigator – Terms of Service Effective: 27 July 2026
By installing, visiting or using Heritage Navigator (the “Service”) you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country). If you use the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind it.
Heritage Navigator lets you discover and share information about cultural and historical sites. Much of the text—including translations—is automatically generated by artificial‑intelligence models and may be incomplete, outdated or inaccurate. The spoken narration is likewise synthetic: it is produced by an AI‑driven text‑to‑speech system and is not a recording of a human narrator. AI‑generated content is reviewed editorially before publication, and Flemming Berthelsen holds editorial responsibility for it—but errors may remain. Verify critical facts independently.
You own the photos, text and other material you upload ("UGC"). You give us a worldwide, royalty‑free licence to host, display, adapt and redistribute your UGC only to operate and improve the Service. You must have the rights needed to grant this licence.
All other material in the Service is owned by Heritage Navigator or its licensors. Except where sharing tools are provided, you may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without written permission.
Do not break the law, harass others, infringe rights, reverse‑engineer, scrape, or disrupt the Service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that do.
The Service, AI‑generated text, AI‑generated audio narration and other content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties—express, implied or statutory—regarding accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose or non‑infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Heritage Navigator and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to €100 or the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months, whichever is higher.
We may change the Service or these Terms at any time. Material changes take effect 30 days after we post them. You may stop using the Service at any time; we may suspend or end the Service or your access at any time.
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law and the courts of Lisbon have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law gives you additional rights. EU consumers may use the European Commission’s online dispute‑resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/odr).
